Recommendations for use of Febac cerium oxyde polishing powder

Cerium use (ENG).pdf download

Febac ceriumoxyde is formulated to quickly mix with water and forming a slurry that is immediately ready for use.
Best results are achieved if polishing is started as soon as the slurry is prepared.

Preparation of the polishing slurry
  1. Measure out the volume of water required for the charge. Ordinary tap water is usually satisfactory.
  2. Add the appropriate weight of powder required to achieve the desired concentration. Always add powder to water - NOT water to powder.
  3. Mix up the slurry. Check the concentration. Add more powder or water in order to achieve the correct concentration.
  4. Start polishing.
  5. Check the slurry concentration regularly and, if necessary, add more powder or water to correct the concentration.
